Additionally, DeSciose Productions has completed scores of documentaries, industrial films and documentary style films for corporations and other institutions around the world, such as Rockwell Collins, National Stroke Association and Red Cross Mile High Chapter. Based in Denver, DeSciose has also been an invaluable crew member for many feature and television productions in Colorado.
DeSciose was instrumental in founding the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers, for which he as served as president and vice-president. He also served 2 terms on the Board of Governors of the Heartland Chapter of NATAS (National Academy of Television & Sciences.)
Nicholas DeSciose has been nominated for 11 Emmy's for cinematography and directing. He has been awarded 3 Emmys, a Clio, and several Telly awards. However, he says the awards are secondary. Most important to DeSciose are his goals of making beautiful images and telling interesting stories.
His photographs are included in the collections of several museums, including the Denver Art Museum and the Minnesota Museum of Science and Industry. In 1992 thirty-two of his photographs of the Beatles, Rolling Stones and other rock legends were chosen for a permanent exhibition in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
